Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to analyze the marriage markets of the Polish upper class, using the interpretive categories of Pierre Bourdieu and Michel Callon. The text presents the meeting places for upper class individuals. The article is based on the research material consisting of 23 in-depth interviews. Upper class representatives meet their future spouses in the exclusive, selected places where there are three entry barriers: cultural, social and economic capital. Spaces and infrastructure play a significant role during the encounter, also in the context of the dominant taste of the upper class, which avoids generally accessible places and contact with lower classes.
