Summary/Abstract: Louis-Ambroise De Bonald (1754—1840) is a determinant ideologist of the French restoration. The only modern element of his otherwise entirely pre-modern theory of politics is the philosophy of language learned from Herder and Humboldt which gives him new arguments against liberalism, individualism and human rights. This is the matter of this study.
