Summary/Abstract: Until Nineteenth Century the Croatian literary tradition in Bosnia and Herzegovina developed within the Roman Catholic Church, in the beginning it was characterized by the imported literature written Until Nineteenth Century the Croatian literary tradition in Bosnia and Herzegovina developed within the Roman Catholic Church, in the beginning it was characterized by the imported literature written in Latin for the foreigners in urban settlements and for the educated clergy, so the native educated people were more of an exception, such as Jurij Dragišić (Georguius Benignus, Srebrenica, Bosnia, 1450-Barletta, Italy, (1520). Dragišić spent his lifetimeand gained his glory outside Bosnia.
