The Activities of the Polish Evangelical Youth Association of the Silesian Voivodeship in the Years 1927–1939

Summary/Abstract: The problems of activation and education of Evangelical youth in the interwar period has been paid much attention, because they constituted the future of the church, society and the reborn nation. The aim of the article is an attempt to detail, from the pedagogical perspective, the main areas of activity of the association – “The Union of Polish Evangelical Youth of the Silesian Voivodeship”. Thus, the conditions of the creation and development of the Association were characterized, taking into account the scope of its patriotic-religious, cultural-educational and social influence, preparing young people to perform important religious, social-educational and national duties in their environment. The assumptions of the Evangelical model of upbringing, as well as recreational, sports and charity activities of the association, supporting the social integration of young Evangelicals, were also discussed.
