Summary/Abstract: The acquisition of art is not only the prerogative of private individuals or legal entities, but can also be carried out by public authorities (central and local), as well as by various public institutions subordinated to them (e.g. museums). As such procurement involves the use of public funds, the correct application by these entities of the various public procurement procedures under the conditions regulated by the legal framework in force in this field is a fundamental goal for all the actors involved, so that the public interest pursued by such an acquisition to be correctly and fully satisfied.
