Summary/Abstract: The major objective of the paper was to determine the spatial diversity of linear road transport infrastructure development in Poland in 2004–2019. The paper explained definitions, characteristics and classifications of transport and transport infrastructure. The study presented specific methods of research on transport infrastructure and showed criteria for the classification of public roads in Poland. Moreover, the thesis indicated the main reasons for road spatial diversity. The paper identified a list of voivodships with the highest level of linear road transport infrastructure development by various measures.
