Summary/Abstract: This article aims to provide a brief overview of the historical development of cryptocurrencies. An attempt has been made to explain in detail each part of the process of extraction and sale of cryptocurrencies. Blockchain technology, one of the most important innovations in the history of finance, is briefly described. When Bitcoin was objectified for the first time, it embodied the first working Blockchain realization the world had ever seen. Blockchain technology is seen as a general - purpose technology behind digital currencies such as Bitcoin, and is likely to change the next decade of business. The terms "cryptocurrency" and "cryptography" are briefly described. In conclusion, the 10 most used cryptocurrencies in the world and their prices are listed.
