Summary/Abstract: In the article I would like to show social and academic issues concerning the phenomenon of abortion. There are discussed moral and religious aspects. Different viewpoints in conflict about abortion were shown. The content of the article does not fully cover the issue of termination of pregnancy. However, to a large extent, it was possible to present and justify the positions of the supporters and opponents of abortion. I also showed John Paul II’s and Mary Anne Warren’s point of view on abortion.
