Summary/Abstract: The subject of analysis in this article is material excerpted from the 16th-century VologodskoPermskaia Letopis. The research covers the names of the seasons and months in their temporal function. To accurately determine the time of events, the authors of the chronicle (letopis) use the names of the seasons and the name of the month, with the day of a given month. The names of the days of a week are also used to specify the dates of the presented events. These events, dated with such accuracy, testify to their great importance in the history of Rus at that time.
