The Role of Public Administration in Crisis Management

Summary/Abstract: The public administration must constantly adapt to the needs of society, it must be flexible and fast in making decisions to achieve the proposed objectives. Crisis situations have become more frequent in recent years. Of course, the management of these situations is the responsibility of the public administration. This article aims to highlight the major role of public administration in managing borderline situations. The authorities’ response to such circumstances must be rapid, concrete and effective in order to avoid and limit their negative effects. In this study are presented the current crisis situations at EU and national level and analysed the response of the public administration.
