Summary/Abstract: The author regards the popular textbook of history for the secondary schools “History of Bulgaria” by G. Bakalov, P. Angelov, Tz. Georgieva, D. Tzanev, B. Bobev, S. Grancharov.I. lliev is a specialist of Bulgarian Medieval history. Emphasizing his positive attitude towards the chapters devoted to the Medieval Bulgarian period of the textbook, he gives some additional interpretations on the basis of the newest opinions that entered the scholaric circulation that have not found a place in the above mentioned textbook.
