Summary/Abstract: Based on the ethno-dialectal materials from some areas in northern Banat this paper analyses traditional wedding lexicon grouped into thematic units, with the aim of placing the lexical and ethnographical features into the cultural and areal context. A sound basis for this type of research has been found in ethnographic studies (primarily those published by Mile Bosić) and several dialect dictionaries from this area.
