COMICAL PRECEPT BY DOSITEJ OBRADOVIĆ

Summary/Abstract: The literary work of Dositej Obradović comic occurs in the creative combination of instructive and entertaining. It is equally obvious that in his autobiographical work The Life and Adventures (1783, 1788), as well as the Soviets healthy reason (1784) and Fables (1788). In our study we show that Dositej instructive and entertaining laughing manifested in the ethos in two ways. The first way is expressed through a mental speculation and self-ironically ridiculing illusions about monastic life and superstition. Another way is expressed through comic dialogue situations in which derided the social and religious anomalies, as well as a moral aberration protagonists. In conclusion, studies show that Dositej comics was the strongest expression of Enlightenment teaching and effective means of struggle against human stupidity and superstition.
