Summary/Abstract: Family patron saint day, is a family feast day, heritage of the traditional culture of Serbs, and an example of permeation of tradition and contemporary currents of life. Slava has sublimated many customs from the profane and sacral domain into its structure, and today it represents an important marker of the Serbian people. Slava has been an important celebration for the community, especially for the popular organization of life which is evident from the fact that almost everyone, from families to different associations, has commemorated one day during the calendar year to a particular saint who has been venerated as a patron. In present circumstances, slava also represents an important integrating element of the Serbian social community. This paper will analyze data on krsna slava among Serbs in Romania – Dinjaš and Čenej, a region east of Timisoara, which was collected during field work in 2016.
