Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with the systematization and description of anthropographic lexicon of Serbian speech on the South-East of Serbia i( Prizren-Timok dialectological area). The subject of the analysis are nouns ending in -ija and which could also be formed with several suffixes: -ija, -lija, -cija, -dzija. Interest in these suffixes is divided into two directions: they are mostly of the foreign (Turkish) origin and as such represent a bond to an archaic lexicon, and at the same time represent still alive and productive models within the modern language.
