In this paper we present the activity of several cultural-artistic and charity societies, the reading room from Timisoara and the surrounding environments. Researching the past of the Serbs from Romania is painstaking because most members of the society have rejuvenated a long time ago, and the heirs have not preserved images and other documents or do not want to put them on raptology to researchers. Cultural-artistic and disputed societies were very active in the interwar period, gathered various social categories.
