Summary/Abstract: During the field research in the villages of Lugovet, Zlatica and Sokolovac in July 2019, data about past and present ways of celebrating wedding among Serbs in Romania were collected. This traditional element was chosen because of the identity function he has not only for the Serbs in the country of origin, but also for the Serbs in diaspora, and thus consequently for the Serbs in Romania. Even today he (self)define ever decreasing Serbian national minority in the multicultural surroundings. This paper reviews the forms of celebration of wedding, considered in the ethnological/anthropological science as one of the key events in each individual’s lifecycle, having a special significance considering the specificity of the social context in which it is observed.
