Summary/Abstract: This paper discusses the results of a survey of Bulgarian enterprises. The outputs imply that the majority of respondents does not recognize staff training as a factor for company’s competitive advantage and success. The survey confirms the view for a lack of sufficient interest and positive attitudes toward life-long learning and management which is an obstacle to competitiveness, efficiency and country’s economic development.
