The concept of information society service provider in the light of Directive No. 2019/7902019 of the European Parliament and of the Council

Summary/Abstract: The study discusses one of the problems related to the right of press publishers providedby the rules of Directive No. 2019/790, namely the issue of interpretation of the notion of“information society service provider”. The analysis leads to the conclusion that this conceptshould be understood in a broad way and should also include entities that are not remuneratedby the recipients of the services they provide, but finance their activities from other sources,as well as entities that earn little or no revenue from the use of a press publication.
