Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the constitutional principle of access to cultural goods, the constitutionalprinciple of sustainable development, the guarantee consisting of the rights to culture, as wellas the freedom of artistic creation, scientific research, teaching and use of cultural goods. Thisis a very important area for the re-use of public sector information. For this reason, the textpresents the issue of open data and points to the most relevant examples of implementationof the law on re-use of public sector information. The provisions of the new law on open dataand re-use of public sector information are such a regulation that provides broad access tocultural assets. The provisions of this law allow, for example, wider access to the resourcesof libraries, museums and archives, and provide the possibility of wider and more effectiveaccess to such information resources. Digitalization of the resources of libraries, museumsand archives is extremely important, therefore this issue is discussed in the text.
