Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article is to reveal the history of the study of philosophical ideas in the culture of Kievan Rus. The research methodology basing on historical, logical, analytical and general methodological approaches. The novelty of the study. The question about the existence of philosophical ideas in the culture of Kievan Rus and the historiographical basis of their existing forms is the essence of the presented article. Conclusions. Investigating this problem, historiographical and methodological problems were revealed: - the problem of periodization of philosophical studies of Kievan Rus; - the existence of the philosophy of Kievan Rus; - ancient written sources, which interprets as philosophical.
