Summary/Abstract: In London, in the summer of 1935, for 40 days, a temporary exhibition was opened where objects of Russian origin, of great artistic and historical value, were exhibited. Among these pieces of Russian art, a significant number of works created by Fabergé were exhibited. Thus, there are also eight Fabergé eggs that were ordered by Tsar Nicholas II to be given to his mother, Maria Feodorovna (four), and his wife, Alexandra Feodorovna (four), on the occasion of the celebration of the Easter holidays. Among many other royal figures who lend their treasures, there is also Queen Maria of Romania who sends two pieces to London, namely a tiara, of the cockroach type (Cartier creation), and seven pieces of an office service (Nicholls & Plincke creation) : desk folder, pen stand, paperweight (?), stationery box, candlestick, clock and pedestal with ink and sand containers).
