The role of protected areas in nonformal ecological education of society

Summary/Abstract: The priority of State Service for Protected Areas activity is to adjust the national parks to attendance and cognition, do not violate requirements of landscape security, to allow conditions for recreation, to form congenial attitude towards protected areas in society. But the research was made and it was found that only 14 % of respondents know the requirements of protected areas attendance. The knowledge of population about activity in protected areas is not sufficient. It was estimated that only 50 % respondents are gratify in information which is purveyed in protected areas. Professionally formulated information about education activity, most valuable areas of nature and heritage is necessary to visitors of protected areas. The informational system is also needful to regulate the flow of visitors.
