Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the research analysis of moral attitudes of future foreign language teachers in the contemporary society. Alongside a person’s knowledge and abilities value attitudes are considered to be one of the important constituent parts of competence. The article raises the question if universities pay enough attention to the development of moral attitudes of teachers so that they can proceed with the fulfillment of their responsibility – teaching values and attitudes of their students. The theoretical background of the research is based firstly, on the three-component attitude model consisting of interconnected cognitive-meaningful, affective-evaluative and behavioral components, allowing the deeper content analysis of its components; secondly, on the link of emotions with a person’s needs; thirdly, on the evaluative function of emotions and finally, on the classification of emotions and the modified B. Dodonov’s research instrument. The results of the analysis of the affectiveevaluative component of moral attitude reveal that future foreign language teachers have a rather mature level of affective-evaluative level of moral attitude. Moral emotions take up the most significant part in their emotional life stemming from the satisfaction of their own and other people’s needs and are linked with moral values. The conclusion is made that the experience of altruistic, communicative, aesthetic and gnostic emotions should be more stimulated in the teaching process at universities as well as.
