Summary/Abstract: In this paper we have examined the crime of computer forgery, with special emphasis on the pre-existing elements of the crime, the objective and subjective side, as well as some aspects of criminal proceedings in these cases. Being the kind of incrimination newly introduced in the Romanian criminal law, I insisted on presenting some cases recently solved by the Romanian courts. I also mention that I also referred to Decision no. 4/2021 pronounced by the Panel for resolving legal issues in criminal matters within the Supreme Court. The novelties concern both the actual examination and the references to the recent judicial practice of the courts in the country. The paper is part of a university course to be published by a recognized law firm. This paper can be useful for students of specialized faculties in the country, but also for legal practitioners.
