Summary/Abstract: Together with the composition traditionally known as the Prologue Life of St Cyril, the present article examines two additional hagiographical short texts that since the seminal editions of A. P. Lavrov (1930) and A. Teodorov-Balan (1934), have been overlooked within the scientific debate on Cyrillo-Methodian sources. Belonging to the same literary genre, dedicated to the same saint, and yet presenting St. Cyril with different connotations, the study provides a contrastive analysis of the narrative motives of the three literary works, shedding new light on the saint’s perceptions through the Slavia Orthodoxa during the Late Middle Ages. Based on research conducted on catalogues, bibliographical descriptions, digitalised versions of manuscripts, and previously edited copies, an account of the codexes containing each text is provided.
