A blessing or a curse? Creations of madness in Lesya Ukrainka’s works

Summary/Abstract: The author of the article analyzes the question of madness and its creations on the example of selected works by the Ukrainian writer of the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, Lesya Ukrainka. Madness is the subject to which the Ukrainian writer often turned, in an ambiguous, and not literary way trying with its help to draw the reader’s attention to the questions that bothered her. The state of consciousness of the protagonists who remained at the borderland of two worlds: normal and abnormal, allowed the author a thorough analysis of the tackled problems.
