Summary/Abstract: Career management in the 21st century is one of the most important elements that imply good realization and development of the individual, as well as coordinated and systematic interaction between the organization and employees. In times of crisis and instability, this management component is the opportunity that employees have to withstand adverse changes in human resource management. The career development is also identified and released in the individual’s mindset through a sequence of planned and unplanned activities which may encompass personal development, priority of official duties, direct engagement and others, within a contractually defined period of time. In such a context, in modern organizations, the relationship "crisis - career development" will become increasingly important. And although the idea of a career implies a profession or activity for whole life, the challenges facing the people are the most important component of the decisions that must be made to achieve the career goals.Nowadays effective human resources management implies predictable and consistent career development of employees, as well as rapid and adequate adaptation to the daily changing setting which they work.
