Summary/Abstract: This paper, dedicated to dancing the Bulgarian way in the virtual space, defines the newest model of the phenomenon that became popular during the times of COVID-19. Its displays are divided into practical online exercises at virtual camps, festivals and webinars (social dis-dancing the Bulgarian way) and discussions on various Internet platforms and social networks, such as Facebook and others. In it, for the first time, verbality acquires a phenomenonshaping quality by organizing persuasive and “flattering communication”. It also supports the analytical cognitivity in identity workshops and assists the development of dancing the Bulgarian way as an international culture of collaboration. The reflexive authenticity is transposed into authentic reflexivity and the social intimacy of the horo is transposed into the social intimacy of online communication. By creating autonomous virtual heterotopias, dancing the Bulgarian way offers a psychosomatic environment with hitherto unknown effects and paradoxical dichotomies. Based on the memory of dancing in a real space, “Digital Bulgaria” experiences individualism in a positive manner as a collective destiny. In the end, the virtual model accepts and generalizes all paradigms of the phenomenon by securing them a general “third place”, a new and truly expanded fluid community, additional individual reflection and global meaning. It is a catharsis for the phenomenon and has the potential to exist beyond the pandemic as a form of “improved reality”.
