Summary/Abstract: The author favours the introduction into Yugoslav criminal legislation of the institute of prosecution after the proposal by the person suffering damage, already in the process of imminent amending of that legislation. The ground for such view is found in the existence of a number of criminal offences where the attitude of the person damaged by such offences should be taken in consideration because his personal sphere is affected, but at the same time such cases can not be entirely left out to the initiative of the person damaged. In addition to the analysis of criminal offences included in the above category, the author deals with procedural issues of this institute. Beginning with the concept that the proposal for criminal prosecution by the person damaged, in most instances of criminal procedure, should be treated as private actions, the author, while elaborating a series of issues of the institute, proposes de legeferenda changes concerning it.
