Summary/Abstract: The aim of the paper is to present British and French models of colonialism used in African countries. The author tries to show how different influence could have the two biggest colonial powers – Great Britain and France – on the following social and economic situation of former colonies. The paper is an introduction to the further, detailed analysis of how British and French colonialism influenced the current situation of Africa.
