Summary/Abstract: The Albanian press defended the rights of its people left unjustly outside Albania. He openly unmasked the anti-Albanian plans of neighboring chauvinist states. Newspapers and societies generally held a very fair stance towards the most troubling problems of the time, such as the problem of the possibility of saving the homeland and the ways of accomplishing this task. Newspapers and societies placed special emphasis on exposing the savage denationalization policy pursued by Serbian and Greek chauvinists in Albanian lands left outside the borders of 1913. The Albanian press published outside of political Albania also played an important role in protecting national interests. This press also strongly denied the Serbian propaganda that the Albanians had allegedly settled in Kosovo with the help of the Turks, who expelled the Slavic population living there before. The Albanian press, however, paid special attention to the Kosovar emigrants who were forced to emigrate to Albania, as well as the efforts of the Albanian state to help them as much as possible.
