Summary/Abstract: Thousands of lives are lost every day due to accidents at work or deadly diseases that are work related, which should and must be avoided in the future. This paper elaborates the importance of safety at work in order to achieve safety in risky jobs environment and importance of research into events and incidents with harmful consequences. The paper also gives an example of the procedure that will allow more efficient work during the reporting of incidents that are caused by mechanical hazards, i. e. method of investigation that clearly detects the true cause of the risky event, all aiming to increase safety in risky jobs. In this sense, procedures for investigating incidents are of great importance that helps determination of the true cause of the risk event, as well as a manner of taking corrective measures.
