Summary/Abstract: According to many didactics it is necessary to enable language learners to participate in the project works that aim to develop general communication and intercultural skills. In this paper it will be shown how Danijel Dragojević's poetry, to be more precise poems included in his latest collection Somewhere, was used for that purpose. Danijel Dragojević is not only one the most important Croatian contemporary authors, but additional reason was the language of his poetry. Or, as Miljenko Jergović wrote: ‘‘The book Somewhere is literary masterpiece. Danijel Dragojević writes very simple, clear sentences. (...) There is nothing hermetic in his poems: there are no language bizarreness, hyper intellectualism, poetic noise and kalambur, weird and impossible pictures.” In this project attendants of levels B1 and B2 will be involved. These referent levels have recently been described in manuals Croatian B1 i Croatian B2. Attendant that mastered B1 is considered not only the basic, but also the independent language user who is able to experience readings and understanding poetry in the language that he is learning as a great award for his invested effort. Attendant at the level B2 is very competent language user who can find extra motivation in reading poetry of the target language for continuity in learning and progressing to the level of the experience language user.
