Summary/Abstract: The article explores Europe’s possibility of becoming a significant global geopolitical power, starting from Henry Kissinger's, Bruno La Maire's, Raffaele Simone's, and André Loeskrug-Pietri’s hypotheses. Thus, the article will discuss three possible scenarios related to the evolution of the European Union: 1) shadowing a super-power, through a strategic, political, and economical alliance; 2) obtaining a critical mass through the alliance with a regional power (Russia, for instance), and 3) evolving to a higher European integration level, so that strategic power adds to its economic super-power.
