Summary/Abstract: Regarding possessive pronouns, at the terminological level, Croatian does not distinguish between pronouns which are independent in a sentence and 'pronouns' which define a noun and agrees with it in gender, number and case. This article aims to show that the latter type of variable words are determiners and should not be classified as possessive pronouns since, morphologically speaking, they belong to adjectives.
