Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the Decision of the European Parliament and of the Council on a paperless environment for customs and trade is to increase competitiveness of companies doing business in Europe by establishing electronic customs systems as more effective and more efficient systems for the exchange of data between the customs administration, economic operators and other administrations and agencies.
