Summary/Abstract: Competitiveness of national economy is a very complex concept that is used to measure the ability of an economy to achieve and sustain economic growth. This ability is highly positively correlated with the productivity of use of national resources. International Macro Competitiveness is a relative concept and in order to determine how competitive an economy is we have to compare it to many other economies and for that aim we use the cross-country study method. The methodology developed by Institute for Management Development and World Economic Forum is the most sophisticated tool for measuring national competitiveness since it incorporates a great number of factors that influence competitiveness. The result of the analysis is a list of world economies ranked by the level of competitiveness. The highly developed countries and liberal economies are at the top of this list.
