Summary/Abstract: The article is focused on the problem of the ethno-cultural adaptation of the Meskhetian Turks – an ethnic minority in Ukraine (approx. 20 000 people) formed in the last two decades. The results of the ethnic sociology research, conducted in the southern part of Kherson region are analyzed. The authentication problem the role of religion in preserving the self-awareness, and the family relationships in the system of cultural values of this ethnic group are investigated. Special attention is given to the prospects of the Meskhetian Turks to get integrated in the Ukrainian society. According to the author, the majority of them will stay in Ukraine forever and will build a new homeland here.
