Summary/Abstract: Secularization was a differentiation of secular spheres institutions and religious norms. New modern society was meant abandoning the theological vision of the world and life. In this respect, reforms church from the time of Al. I. Cuza – especially the law of secularization of monastery estates (1863) – led to the modernization of the state apparatus and the reform of Romanian Principalities citizen and Romanian Orthodox Church. The relationship between political power - represented by the State – and religious power represented by the Church, although consider that the focus of both institutions to be individual, in his double capacity as a citizen and believer, then led the transition from Religious power Power religion.
