Present Folk Anecdote: Problems of its Recording and Publishing

Summary/Abstract: The article discusses problems of folklore anecdote recognition and publication. The author reports her own strategy to recognize and publish oral anecdotes. To be published in academic collection, the anecdotes are expected to be thoroughly commented. The folklore anecdotes and literary anecdotes with folklore origins are discriminated depending on the ways their texts are narrated. The focus on the literary type of narration when publishing folklore texts will lead to a distorted comprehension [of] the nature of oral texts and their modes of operation.
