Terminology of Contemporary Aspectology

Summary/Abstract: The paper discusses basic terms of aspectology: criteria of the aspect pair, actional classes, Aktionsarts, and specific meanings of the imperfective and perfective aspect. The terminology of contemporary aspectology is unstable, still developing, and for Polish – often not fixed. The article analyses the theory of aspect only to a small degree. The author’s main focus is on organising and defining ambiguous terms.
