Summary/Abstract: The article is devoted to the semantic description of adjectives which in the form of feminine nominative singular were part of historical predicative syntactic structures, such as: słuszna to uczynić ‘it is right to do this’. Based on the material collected in the Electronic Corpus of 17th- and 18th-century Polish Texts (up to 1772), some general semantic features of adjectives found in such constructions have been analyzed. Adjectives that belong to this set share a common characteristics – they are names of features that can be related to situations, not only to people or objects. The analysis has shown a great diversity of the discussed group of adjectives, yet one can notice the predominance of adjectives naming inherent features of the described situation and expressing an assessment of that situation from the speaker’s point of view.
