Summary/Abstract: Răchitoasa Monastery is an important monument of worship, being located in the Zeletin valley, Răchitoasa village, Răchitoasa parish, Bacău county. Outside the Răchitoasa monastery, with the church dedicated to Uspenia, Domnului, is a cross placed on the site of the first church altar table made from Adormirea Maicii oak, dedicated to Cuvioasa Paraschiva, built in 1677. The wooden church was dismantled and moved in the village at the foot of the monastery, where is now situated, being repaired in 1968-1969. The stone church Adormirea Maicii Domnului, was built in 1697 by Ilie Enache Ţifescu and his wife Teofana. Applying the project „Restoring the Răchitoasa Monastery complex", to be included in the tourist circuit, I made, as an archaeologist expert, archaeological supervision, in accordance with the authorization for the archaeological supervision nr. 346 from 2014, issued by the Ministry of Culture, General Directorate of Legal and Cultural Heritage.
