Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with the variants of simple syntactic constructions formed by a head verb and a subordinate numeral (V → Num). These variants are differentiated on the basis of the presence or absence of syntactic connotation and syntactic accommodation. The subordinate numerals in the studied constructions can either be connoted or non-connoted. After a detailed presentation of the characteristics of the head verbs and the subordinate numerals, the paper offers an analysis of the processes of accommodation. It includes a description of the makeup of the different variants of the construction, the restrictions imposed on their realisation, the processes of morphological ac-commodation regarding the different grammatical categories and the possible interpretations of the accommodation in number. One of the proposed analyses posits the existence of such accommodation, whereas an alternative interpretation involves no process of this type.
