Summary/Abstract: The paper is the second part of a linguistic study of nouns ending in -an and -anin and the ensuing interpretation problems due to the homonymous forms of these nouns in the plural forms. The first part of the study (ALK-1) discusses the principles of the formal repartition of the plural forms of both formations on the basis of phonetic and inflectional features (N-V and G pl). Most of the material covered in the first part of the study was homogenous. The second part of the study discusses more complex cases, which results from the fact that 16th-century texts demonstrate directly or indirectly the simultaneous occurrence of synonymous word-forming pairs in language, such as poganin – pogan.
