Nuda w języku. Analiza wybranych wyrażeń związanych z pojęciem ‘nudzić się’
Boredom in language. Analysis of some expressions associated with the notion ‘nudzić się’ (‘to be bored’)

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the paper is to describe semantic properties of a few lexical units containing the form nudzić się (‘to be bored’), namely [ktośi] nudzi się and [komuśi] nudzi się, as well as the verb wynudzić się. The author considers also semantic relation between the meaning of the verb nudzić się (‘to be bored’)and of the noun nuda (‘boredom’). Dictionaries of the contemporary Polish language define the verb nudzić się as ‘odczuwać nudę’ (i.e. by means of a noun). The paper offers some arguments against this proposition.
