Summary/Abstract: The paper presents and publishes new sources, revealed in Spanish archives, which shed new light on Hungarian–Neapolitan relations in the period immediately preceding the marriage of King Matthias of Hungary (1458–1490) and Beatrix of Aragon (1474–1476). one group of sources has survived in the fond of Military orders of the National Archives at Madrid, among the papers of mixed Valencian origins; these were already published in the Történelmi Szemle (59 [2017] 491–523.) The document pulished in the appendix of the present paper, which has come down to us in the Patronato Real fond of the general Archives of Simancas, is a notarial document issued on 3 September 1474 (or, on the basis of the dating of its appendix, on 11 September), and complements the documents published earlier. The newly uncovered group of sources allows us to establish the chronology and structure of Neapolitan embassies from the period between 1474 and 1476 with greater accuracy, and thus to reconstruct in detail the negotiations that ultimately led to the establishment of the alliance and dynastic relationship between King Matthias and Ferdinand I of Naples.
