Summary/Abstract: In this article are examined the various charities that aided the Enlightenment in Samokov during the Bulgarian Revival. The better part of the funds can be attributed to Samokov Eparchy. There is a long list people and organizations that have given not only money but labor for the cause, which is left out from the article for the sake of simplicity. The peak of the generosity of the Bulgarian people is the creation Samokov School of Theology. It later evolves to the Seminary of Samokov after the liberation from the Turks in 1878, after that the good deeds of the people are continued for the years to come.
