Additions and Emendations to the Old Romanian Bibliography

Summary/Abstract: This study provides historians specializing in old Romanian books with information on four book editions printed during the 17th to 19th centuries. They add to the descriptions of other five book editions produced by Romanian and foreign printers from 1714 to 1823, which have been emended and supplemented by new information. This study complements and enriches the corpus of old Romanian books and engravings, gives a valuable insight into the history of Romanian printing and reasserts the role of the Orthodox Church in the spreading of the Word of God and of the Holy Teachings among ordinary people.
